Easy Tandoori Chicken and Rice – Smoky Restaurant Style Meal at Home

It was my first experience cooking in a tandoor, and the results were absolutely amazing. The aroma, the tenderness of the chicken, and the rich taste of the rice made it feel like a restaurant-style feast at home.

Tandoori chicken Ingredients:
• 1 kg whole chicken without skin
• 4 tbsp white vinegar
• 3 tbsp yogurt
• 3 tbsp lemon juice
• 1 tbsp salt
• 1 tbsp red chilli powder
• 1 tbsp black pepper powder
• 1 tsp all spice powder
• 1 tsp paprika powder
• 1 tsp carom seeds
• 1/2 tsp garlic powder
• 1/2 tsp cumin powder
• 1/4 tsp food colour
DIRECTIONS:
• Soak the chicken in vinegar and salt mixed water for 15 minutes.
• Pat dry the chicken and make deep cuts on the chicken.
• Mix all ingredients and apply well on the chicken, then marinate for 30 minutes.
• Place the chicken on skewers and set on top of the rice.

The taste of rice was amazing because chicken was hanging in skewers over the rice inside the tandoor and the chicken spices and flavour dripped down in the rice While enhancing its taste
TANDOORI RICE INGREDIENTS:
• 2 cup rice
• 2 tbsp cooking oil
• 1 tsp crushed garlic
• 1 cup grated carrot
• 1 cup chopped capsicum
• 1 tbsp salt
• 1 tbsp black pepper
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
•1 chicken cube
DIRECTIONS:
1. Soak rice for 20 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry crushed garlic and chicken cube for 1 minute.
3. Add vegetables and fry for two minutes, now add all dry spices and soy sauce and give it a good mix.
4. Now add rice and water, mix carefully and set this pan in tandoor.
5. Your tandoori chicken and rice will be ready in 30 minutes, but if you need more crispy chicken you can give 10 minutes more. Enjoy recipe 😊.
